Yarra Valley Water is currently updating the sewerage infrastructure throughout the outer suburbs of Melbourne. Many homes around the outer north and eastern suburbs of Melbourne were built before sewerage infrastructure was available and they are still using a septic tank system. The community sewerage program is being implemented to provide these areas with sustainable sewer systems.
How do I apply for my sewer to be connected?
There are a few stages that need to be completed before you can apply for your sewer connection.
1. Yarra Valley Water needs to have completed your community sewerage program.
Check the status of your community sewerage program here
2. Once completed Yarra Valley Water will send you a notice letting you know you are ready to connect.
3. Determine whether you have a Gravity Sewer or a Pressure Sewer and apply accordingly.
4. Contact a licenced plumber, like us, to get a sewer connection quote.
Am I ready to have my sewer connected?
If you’ve received a notice from Yarra Valley Water to let you know that sewerage services are now available in your area, you can now apply to connect.
